The Australian national poetry competition was taking place.

There were 2 finalists. A bloke from the University of New South Wales and a country bumpkin from out west. They had 30 seconds to come up with a poem about Timbuktu. Up first the student: Slowly across the desert sand, Trekked a lonely caravan. Men on camels two by two, Destination Timbuktu. The crowd went wild.. thats bloody fantastic. Next up the Country bumpkin: Tim and I off hunting went Found 3 girls in a pop up tent They were 3 and we were 2 I bucked one and Timbuktu.
